INSPRO's 11th Annual Soup Cook-Off Fundraiser

INSPRO's 11th Annual Soup Cook-Off Fundraiser

February 15, 2019

Every year, INSPRO hosts a soup or chili cook off competition where we choose a local organization and raise funds for their cause. In its 11th year, we had another very successful event where we served over 130 people and were able to provide a total donation of $5,037 to our beneficiary, I've Got a Name. A special thanks goes out to our insurance carrier partners as well as our employees for their generous donations.

I’ve Got A Name began as an event in 2010 to raise awareness and resources to fight sex trafficking in Southeast Asia through Tiny Hands International. The event was repeated again the following year. The combination of these two events resulted in raising funds to rescue more than 2400 girls from the sex trade of Southeast Asia.

I’ve Got a Name became a 501©3 non-profit organization in 2012 when it changed its focus on sex trafficking where we live in Nebraska. The 2012 event, “Stolen Lives” raised funds to support a full-time Street Outreach Director in Lincoln.

The organization continues to support this position that has changed the lives of hundreds of women and girls and are committed to similar services that protect and provide hope for those vulnerable or victims of this abuse.

INSPRO was proud to be able to not only provide monetary support through the donations of our friends, but also to provide an event for I've Got A Name to spread their message. Many in attendance were surprised and saddened to learn that sexual exploitation and sex trafficking is a serious problem in our community.

And of course, we can't forget to mention the winning team, Buffalo Chicks! Congrats to Nichole Tichota, Nicole Reetz, Jena Psota, Rose Roth, Becky Haufle, Melissa Swinnerton and Shannon Gray!
